The 3 days gorilla trekking in Uganda and bisoke hike will take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park where you will have a gorilla trek. Bwindi impenetrable national park is located at the edge of the Albertine rift and is in the south western part of Uganda in three districts namely Kabale, Kisoro and Kanungu. Bwindi impenetrable national park is a shelter to almost half of the remaining gorilla population in the world and gorilla trekking can be done in various sectors of the park, including the nkuringo, rushaga, ruhija and Buhoma sectors. This activity is conducted all year through Bwindi impenetrable national park though the dry season is the best since the trails in the park are dry, enabling easy movement during the trek. You will begin with a tour to the Kigali genocide memorial on the 1st day of the safari and then you will be transferred to Bwindi impenetrable national park through the katuna border and the gorilla trek will take place on day 2. Following the gorilla trek, we will transfer you to Musanze via the Cyanika border, where you will spend the night. You will hike Mount bisoke on the last day if the safari and then head to the airport for your flight.

Day 1 : Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On day 1 of the 3 days gorilla trekking in Uganda and bisoke hike safari, you will be picked up by a guide from the hotel in Kigali after you have had breakfast. The guide will transfer you to the Kigali genocide memorial and you will explore it and get to know the events of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, where people lost their lives and the remains are kept at the Kigali genocide memorial. This place was set to commemorate those that participated in the Rwandan genocide of 1994.
The guide will then take you for a brief lunch break and then transfer you to Bwindi impenetrable national park in Uganda through the katuna boarder. You will check into a lodge when you arrive at Bwindi and you will have your dinner after settling in. Later you will retire to bed.

Day 2 : Gorilla trekking and transfer to Musanze
On the 3 days gorilla trekking in Uganda and bisoke hike safari, you will have breakfast at the lodge in Bwindi and a guide will transfer you from the lodge to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing, you will head with the ranger guide to the forest to find the gorillas. You will most probably take about 1to 8 hours while searching for these primates depending on their location and movements. Incase you are in a group, you are supposed to meet each gorilla family in a group of a maximum of 8 individuals. You will trek with the guide through various trails while trying to get to the gorillas and depending on the season, the trails may either be muddy if it’s the rain6or season or dry if it is the dry season. So you are recommended to come with good hiking boots to avoid any inconveniences. You will spend one hour with the gorillas after spotting them and the guide will direct you on how you are supposed to take pictures while you are with the gorillas.
A guide will transfer you back to the lodge after the gorilla trek and you will be served lunch and after you check out. The guide will transfer you to Musanze through the boarder of Cyanika. You will reach musanze in the evening and check into a lodge, have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 3 : Bisoke hike and transfer to Kigali airport
While at the lodge, you will be given breakfast in the morning, and a driver guide will transfer you from the lodge to the headquarters for a briefing session about the hike to Mount Bisoke. You will be told about what you need when you are heading for a hike to Mount Bisoke and you will get to know the do’s and don’ts when hiking Mount bisoke. You will set off with the guide to the trails that lead to Mount Bisoke with hiking sticks to support you. You will see numerous animals on your way to Mount Bisoke and there are also a number of bird species that you will spot when hiking to the summit of Mount bisoke. When you get to the summit after a hike of approximately 4 hours, you will get to see the amazing and beautiful landscapes and vegetation covers, including the neighboring volcanic mountains like Mount Karisimbi. You will also be able to see the crater lake, and then you will descend back to the starting point, which will take you about 2 hours. The guide will then transfer you to the lodge and you will have lunch.
You will check out of the lodge after your lunch meal and the guide will transfer you to the Kigali airport and if time permits you, you will have a visit to Kimironko market, where you will purchase some items like handbags, earrings, necklaces, art pieces and many more. After your visit to Kimironko market, you will head to the airport.
