Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
A professional driver guide from Chopper Tour and Travel will meet and greet you at a hotel in Kigali. After having an overview of the safari from the guide, you will set off to Volcanoes National Park. The journey to Volcanoes National Park takes approximately 2 hours. You will have a stopover at Musanze caves for a cultural experience. You will get details about these caves from the guides. After exploring the caves for about 2 hours, you will continue to Volcanoes National Park. When you arrive, you will have lunch after checking into a lodge.
The afternoon will be spent at leisure, and at the end of the day, you will have dinner at the lodge. After dinner, you will head to bed for your night’s rest.

Day 2: Golden monkey trekking and departure to Kigali
Early in the morning, while at the lodge, you will have breakfast. Once you are done, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed on how to conduct yourself while Rwanda gorilla trek. You will be told what to expect from the trek, and then you will be given an armed ranger guide to escort you. You will start the search for the golden monkeys, and it may take you 2 to 4 hours to find them, depending on their movements. You will spend one hour with these playful creatures after spotting them. You will monitor them play, feed and socialise. The guide will take you back to the lodge.
After having lunch at the lodge, you will embark on a 2-hour journey back to Kigali. The guide will drop you off at a hotel or take you to Kigali Airport for a flight.
