Best Time to visit Volcanoes national park : Volcanoes national park is the oldest national park in the whole of Africa. It famous for being a home to a large number of mountain gorillas. Volcanoes national park is located in the north of Rwanda just 2 hours from Kigali. This parks offers a number of activities to visitors who come to visit it. These activities are done through out the year but with greater and different experiences in two different seasons. These seasons include the dry and wet season.

In these months, the trails are less slippery and passable. Visitors get less difficulty in carrying out mountain gorilla trekking unlike in the wet season when the trails are slippery though it doesn’t stop visitors from carrying out this activity since it is done all the year.
Though bird watching is done through out the year, visitors who are bird lovers are advised to visit volcanoes national park in the wet season in March to May and October to November. This is a season in the volcanoes national park where the vegetation flourishes due to the heavy rains it receives hence attracting birds to come out from their habitats. This gives visitors an opportunity to spot various bird species in the wet season.
