Detailed itinerary
Day 1 : Arrival at Kigali Airport
You will be received by a guide when you arrive at Kigali Airport. This guide will take you through a short briefing and then you head to a hotel in Kigali the capital city of Rwanda.
You will have lunch at that hotel and then check into a hotel room where you will spend the night.
Day 2 : Touring Kimironko market in Kigali
After having breakfast at the hotel, a guide will lead you to Kimironko market that is located in Kiga6where you will have an open discussion with the locals that you will find there as you your through the market. These locals with give assistance in all the questions you would ask about this market and the people that live in it.
You will after go back to the hotel for lunch , take a shower and have some rest from your tour to the market.
Day 3 : Visit to the Kigali genocide memorial
Kigali genocide memorial is a place that was put in place to remember the people that were murdered in the genocide. On the 3rd day, you will visit this place after your breakfast in the morning at the hotel. You will be guided by the guide to various corners of this place where you will see the remains and all the items that were kept in this place after the genocide.
You will later head back to the hotel for lunch and rest abit till dinner is served. After you will rest as you prepare for the next day.
Day 4 : Travel to Volcanoes National Park
After your breakfast in the morning at the hotel, you will check out of the hotel with your luggage and s guide will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park.
On your way to the park, you w6have a stop over to have a lunch meal and then proceed with your journey. When you get to the park, you will check in to a hotel of your choice that is either luxury, midrange or a budget accommodation.
Day 5 :Visit to Musanze caves
In the morning, you will prepare for your tr6to the famous musanze caves in musanze. You will follow the guidelines that will be set to you as you go this place to avoid any inconvenience. These caves haves different and various trails where you will pass while exploring the beauty of these caves.
You will later with the guide head back to the park after the wonderful moment. You will have lunch and rest.
Day 6 : Gorilla trekking
As you prepare for a gorilla trek at volcanoes national park, you be briefed on certain things that you are supposed to do while on this trek and these that you are not supposed to do. This activity will start from the park headquarters to the various sectors of the park where these creatures can be found. You will follow the trails in the park that lead to these gorillas. You will be granted an hour with these friendly creatures once you spot them.
You will get to know more about them from the park guides and you will also notice some of there behaviors physically.
After the trek, you will head back to the park and have your lunch meal and refresh your self.
Day 7 : Bird watching
Early in the morning at 8 am, you will have breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing from the park wardens before setting off to for bird watching.
You will get the opportunity to see a number of bird species from different points of the park and a guide that will accompany you will throw more light on all the bird species that you will come across.
You will go back to the lodge after the bird watching after and its then that you will have lunch and rest. After you will have dinner in the evening and retire to bed.
Day 8 : Nature walk
On the 8th day of the trip, you will have a nature walk at the park which will expose you to a lot of animal and bird species plus a number of tree species at Volcanoes national park.
This nature walk rewards you with the overwhelming and most comforting feeling of nature.
You will then head back to the lodge and have a lunch meal and freshen up. After the meal you will have an encounter with the guides and share your experiences of the trip as it proceeds.

Day 9 : Golden monkey trekking
You will have breakfast at 6am and go for golden monkey trekking. You will get the opportunity to see a number of wildlife that is say different animals at the park.

Day 10 : Hike to Dian Fossey Tomb
You will participate in a hike to Dian Fossey Tomb on the 10th day at Volcanoes national park. You will hike through the trails with the guide to Dian Fossey Tomb.
You will retire to the lodge, have lunch, freshen up and then rest till dinner time.
Day 11 : Exploration of the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo
You will have breakfast in the morning at 8am on the 11th day of the safari and then you will start on your journey to the twin lakes of burera and ruhondo. You will get the chance to spot numerous bird species and animals species at lake burera and ruhondo.
You will return back to the lodge for lunch and have some refreshment.
Day 12 : Cultural visit to iby’iwacu cultural village
You will have breakfast and get ready for a to visit Iby’iwacu cultural village. You will interact with the locals in this village know more about their culture and traditions.
You will then retire back to the park for lunch and rest.
Day 13 : Hiking mountain Bisoke
On day 13 of the safari, you will have breakfast and hike to mountain bisoke after briefing at the park headquarters. You will see numerous of birds and animals. After the hike, you will head back for lunch at the lodge and rest from hiking.
Day 14 : Hiking mountain Karisimbi
On day 14 of the safari, you will have breakfast and hike to mountain Karisimbi where you will have the chance to see a number of animals and birds. You will then retire for lunch and refresh yourself at the lodge.
Day 15 : Visit to Karisoke research center
On day 15 of the safari, you will get breakfast and then head to Karisoke research center to see various remains of Dian Fossey.
You will retire to your lodge and have lunch, rest as you wait fir dinner time.
Day 16 : Visiting local communities
On the day 16 of the safari, you will have breakfast and visit to the local communities. You will have an encounter with the locals in these communities. The locals will give you a lot of information about their culture and traditions and also show some dancing skills in regards to their traditional dance which is a way of entertainment.
You will return back to the park to have lunch and have some rest.
Day 17 : Travel to Nyungwe National Park
You will check out of the lodge after having breakfast and travel to Nyungwe National Park. You will have an enroute for lunch and then proceed with the journey.
You will have dinner at Nyungwe National Park after checking into a lodge of your choice at Nyungwe National Park where you will spend the night.
Day 18 : Bird watching
You will have breakfast in the morning and after that, you will head for a bird watching experiences at Nyungwe National Park where you will see numerous bird species and types. This activity is most exciting to the bird lovers.
You will then head for lunch at the lodge after bird watching. You will then freshen up and chill till dinner time.
Day 19 : Chimpanzee trekking
Chimpanzee trekking is one if the activities done at Nyungwe National Park and therefore on the 19th day of the trip you will participate in a chimpanzee trek at this park. You will trek to the points of the park where these primates are found and after spotting them you will stay with then for some time under the supervision of s guide and later retire to your lodge for lunch and you rest from the trek.
Day 20 : Canopy walk
After having breakfast in the morning, you will be briefed at the park headquarters and then proceed with a canopy walk on the 20th day of the trip.

Day 21 : Travel to Akagera National Park
You will check out of the lodge at Nyungwe after having breakfast and then travel to Akagera National Park. You will have an enroute for lunch and proceed with the journey to Akagera National Park.
You will check into a lodge at Akagera National Park depending on your preference that is to say a luxury lodge, midrange lodge or a budget lodge.
You will then have dinner and rest.
Day 22 : Boat trip at Lake Ihema
There will be a boat cruise that you will engage in at lake Ihema on the 22nd day of your safari. This activity will be done in the morning after you having your breakfast.

Day 23 : Morning game drive

Day 24 : Cultural tour

Day 25 : Nature walk

Day 26 : Travel to lake Kivu

You will check into a hotel at Lake Kivu where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 27 : Boat cruise at Lake Kivu
There will be a boat cruise at lake Kivu on the 27th day after your breakfast meal. You will go on a ride at this lake with the company of a tour guide who will tell you more about the exciting sights at this lake.
After the boat cruise, you will retire to your hotel for your lunch and relax from the boat cruise.
Day 28 : Touring town of Gisenyi and Kibuye
You will tour around the towns of Kibuye and Gisenyi on the 28th day. You will begin with breakfast in the morning and then go for briefing by the park wardens on how you will conduct yourself while in these towns.
You will the go proceed with your journey to these town under the supervision of a guide who will give you more guidelines on what, where and how to go about some situation.
