This is a 12 days spice of Rwanda to 3 of Rwanda’s National Park and a visit to lake kivu where you will engage in activities like gorilla trekking and golden monkey trekking, hike to Dian Fossey Tomb, visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village, chimpanzee trekking, boat cruise at lake Ihema, boat cruise at Lake Kivu, coffee tour at Nyamirundi island, canopy walk, hike to Mount Bisoke, game drive in Akagera National Park, visit to Kigali genocide memorial, Kandt house museum and Rwanda art museum as you experience the sceneric views of Rwanda safaris.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali airport and transfer to a hotel in Kigali
On the first day of the 12 days Spice of Rwanda, you will link up with a guide at Kigali Airport, and you will be transferred to Kandt house museum, and you get to explore around. You will then head to the Rwanda Art Museum. After the visit to the Rwanda art museum, you will head to the hotel in Kigali, where you will have your lunch, dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast at the hotel in Kigali, you will go for a visit to the Kigali genocide memorial and after you will head to a hotel for lunch.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Akagera National Park. You will arrive, check into a lodge and settle in. You will have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 3: Morning game drive and a boat cruise at Lake Ihema
You will have breakfast on day 3 of the 12 days Spice of Rwanda. You will then have a morning game drive in Akagera National Park, getting the chance to spot all the big five animals and other wildlife species. You will spend 3 to 4 hours on this morning game drive. You will then be taken back to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will have an afternoon boat cruise at Lake Ihema get the opportunity to see the hippos and crocodiles. You will then go back to the lodge for a relaxation dinner, and you will retire to bed.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After having breakfast at the lodge, you will check out, and then the guide will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. You will check into a lodge in Volcanoes National Park and have lunch.
You will spend the rest of the day at leisure, and then you will have dinner before you retire to bed.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village
You will have a gorilla trek on day 5 of the 12 days spice of Rwanda. You will first have breakfast and then go for a briefing. After the briefing then you will go for the gorilla trekking, taking about 30 minutes to 7 hours to find the gorillas. You will spend 1 hour with the gorillas and then get to the lodge for lunch.
You will go for a visit to Iby’iwacu cultural village in the afternoon for a cultural experience about the culture of Rwanda, and then you will go back to the lodge, have dinner, and retire to bed.
Day 6: Hike to Mount Bisoke
You will have breakfast and then go for a hike to Mount Bisoke after a briefing, getting hiking sticks and a guide to escort you. You will hike to the summit of Mount Bisoke for about 4 hours, and you will have a view of wildlife and the neighbouring volcanic mountains. You will then descend back to the starting point, which will take you about 2 hours. You will go to the lodge and have lunch.
You will stay at the lodge relaxing, and then you will have dinner and go to bed.
Day 7: Golden monkey trekking and hike to Dian Fossey Tomb
You will have breakfast, and then you will go for a golden monkey trek after the briefing. You will meet the golden monkeys after searching for them for about 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on their location. You will spend one hour with them, and then you will get back to the lodge for lunch.
You will hike to Dian Fossey’s Tomb after lunch and see where the famous primatologist Dian Fossey was laid to rest, and also get information about the gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. You will then go back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
You will have breakfast at leisure in Volcanoes National Park, and later you will check out of the lodge. You will then be transferred to Nyungwe National Park. You will check into a lodge, have lunch and relax. You will have dinner in the evening and then retire to bed.

Day 9: Chimpanzee trekking and canopy walk
After an early morning breakfast on day 9 of the spice of Rwanda, you will have a chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe forest, where you will spend one hour with the chimpanzees and then be returned to the lodge for lunch.
You will then have a canopy walk in the afternoon at the suspended bridge in Nyungwe National Park. You will spend about 2 hours there. You will get back to the lodge, relax and then have dinner. You will then retire to bed.
Day 10: Transfer to Lake Kivu
After having breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Kivu, and you will check into a hotel where you will have lunch. There will be an optional boat cruise at Lake Kivu, and then in the evening, you will have dinner and retire to bed.

Day 11: Boat cruise
You will have breakfast in the morning, and you will have a boat cruise to Nyamirundi Island on Lake Kivu. You will have a coffee experience on this island, where you will learn how to process coffee and much more. You will then return to the lodge and have lunch.
You will go for an afternoon boat cruise to visit other islands and acquire other experiences on Lake Kivu. You will then go back to the lodge for dinner and your night’s rest
Day 12: Depart for Kigali Airport
After an early morning breakfast on the last day of the 12 days spice of Rwanda, you will leave the lodge and the guide will transfer you to Kigali Airport for your flight.
