Detailed itinerary for the 5 days Rwanda primates Safari
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali Airport, a Chopper Tour and Travel representative guide will meet you and transfer you to Kigali city for a city tour. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to get details about the events that took place during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. You will then head to a lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will visit the Kandt House Museum and then set off to Volcanoes National Park. You will check into a lodge upon arrival, and you will be served dinner. You will then retire to bed.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking
At Volcanoes National Park, you will have breakfast very early in the morning, and then you will leave the lodge with a packed lunchbox. You will then be transferred to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will be briefed about gorilla trekking, and then you will be allocated a gorilla family to find. You will then set off with a ranger guide. You will search for the gorillas, and then you will take about 30 minutes to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. You will spend about 1 hour with the Rwanda gorillas as you observe them feed, play and much more. You will take pictures of the gorillas and then head back to the lodge. You will have dinner in the evening and then head to bed, and you will sleep.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Nyungwe National Park
At Volcanoes National Park, you will have breakfast, and the guide will give you a briefing. After the briefing, you will be taken for golden monkey trekking. You will spend 2 to 4 hours searching for the golden monkeys. You will have one hour with them, and then you will head back to the lodge. You will have lunch and then check out of the lodge. You will then be transferred to Nyungwe National Park. You will check into a lodge, have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and a canopy walk
At Nyungwe National Park, you will have breakfast and then be briefed at the park headquarters. You will start the search for the chimpanzees, and it will take you about 30 minutes to 4 hours to find them. You will spend one hour with them and then take pictures of them after observing their behaviour. You will be led back to the lodge, and you will have lunch.
After lunch, you will be transferred to the suspended bridge for a canopy walk. You will take about 2 hours while on the canopy walk, and you will have views of Nyungwe Forest and a number of primates and birds. You will be transferred back to the lodge, where you will relax, have dinner and then retire to bed.

Day 5: Depart for Kigali Airport
At Nyungwe National Park, you will have breakfast and then check out of the lodge. You will then be transferred back to Kigali. You will visit the Kimironko market and interact briefly with the locals in the Kimironko market. You will have views of a number of items for sale, like handbags, necklaces, clothes, fresh fruits, bangles, scarves and many more. You will buy some souvenirs and then get back to Kigali Airport.
